The Psychosocial support mobile team in Novyi Buh, Mykolaiv region, started working in July 2023. During this time, the specialists have already managed to provide consultations to almost one thousand local residents.
"In general, the situation with gender-based violence has increased since the beginning of the war. This is due not only to the fact that we have internally displaced persons, but also to the fact that the mental health of the community and the country as a whole suffers greatly during the war and its consequences," says Vladyslav Kuzmenko, a social worker of the mobile team.
Despite the fact that Novyi Buh is located near the front line and has been suffering from the war since the beginning of the full-scale war, the mobile team is convinced that combating gender-based violence is always relevant.
