Among the demographic processes that determine the "sociodemographic face" of humanity in this century, ageing occupies a prominent place. In recent decades, the problem of demographic ageing is in the focus of international organizations and relevant international research centers, due to the fundamental impact of ageing population on the condition of human development. However, the specificity of demographic ageing and its socioeconomic impact in countries that are going through difficult transformations are not studied enough. However, it is a thorough research of the issue that should become a scientific and methodological basis for the improvement and adaptation of economic and sociodemographic areas in terms of progressive ageing population.
