Title of consultant

Graphic designer

Purpose of consultancy:

UNFPA Ukraine is seeking the services of a professional graphic designer with experience in developing original design and layouts for our online and offline communications, educational materials, printed publications, infographics and reports.

 

Scope of work:

The designer is needed for a project-based assignments and will work on the “when needed” basis upon the request of the respective project holder. The deadline and the cost of the work will be agreed per each request

Duration and working schedule:

Duration: until 31 December 2020 with possible extension

Schedule: remote mode of work, availability per request

Place where services are to be delivered:

Remote mode of work

 

Delivery dates and how work will be delivered (e.g. electronic, hard copy etc.):

The electronic file of the design should be provided.

The deadlines will be agreed per each request

Supervisory arrangements:

The work is supervised by the requesting UNFPA personnel

Expected travel:

N/A

Required expertise, qualifications and competencies, including language requirements:
  • A high-school diploma, certifications of  Graphic design courses  and/or equivalent professional work experience in the Communication and design areas
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in producing printed or digital products
  • Advanced skills and strong experience in design and branding. Good quality portfolio
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with competing deadlines. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and capacity to work for long hours when required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability per request and ability to work in the required deadlines
  • Previous experience working with the development sector is an asset
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian and English is must

Inputs / services to be provided by UNFPA or implementing partner (e.g support services, office space, equipment), if applicable:

The designer will receive guidance from project holder and will be provided with the UNFPA brand book.

Other relevant information or special conditions, if any:

Payment shall be made in the following instalments;

  • 100%  upon submission of the final deliverables, incorporating edits, suggestions and recommendations from UNFPA

 

Intellectual Property

All information pertaining to this project (documentary, pictures, digital, cyber, project documents, etc) belonging to UNFPA, which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of his/her, duties under this assignment shall remain the property of UNFPA who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever without written permission of UNFPA in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.
