Day centers 

The day centers established with the support of UNFPA Ukraine have switched to the format of providing consulting services to clients by phone. Survivors can use the services of the day center in the following cities: Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Odesa, Kherson, and Rubizhne.

If a client wants to come and get face-to-face counseling, he/she will not be denied. However, we advise you to prefer telephone consultations, given the general quarantine.

The Right to Health day center situated in Kyiv also continues to operate online and offline. If you need a psychosocial assistance, suffer from violence or find yourself in a difficult life situation, we offer several options of obtaining assistance.

Shelters established with the support of UNFPA Ukraine operate in the normal mode: they provide services to clients placed in shelters and admit new ones. The shelter situated in Mariupol is an exception (after clients left it, the local authorities decided to close the shelter for quarantine and not to admit new clients).

We recommend survivors to seek shelter services in the following cities: Kryvyi Rih, Berdiansk, Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Odesa, Kherson, as well as in Vinnytsia oblast (Voronovytsia urban-type settlement) and Kharkiv oblast (Krasnopavlivka urban-type settlement).

The mechanism of referral to a shelter remains unchanged; however, due to the general quarantine, the attention is being paid to the availability of medical certificates and doctor's conclusions about the absence of acute respiratory disease symptoms. Specialists conduct face-to-face sessions with female clients placed in the shelter.


Mobile teams of psychosocial assistance

Six mobile teams of psychosocial assistance established with the support of UNFPA Ukraine continue to provide assistance and support to veterans of ATO/JFO (Joint Forces Operation) and their families in Kyiv and Mykolaiv oblasts.

All commands via Skype, Viber and phone:

✔️advise veterans' wives and married couples on establishing an emotional climate during the quarantine period;

✔️organize online groups of mutual support for veterans of ATO/JFO and their relatives to learn to overcome difficulties together;

✔️provide scheduled psychological consultations to veterans of ATO/JFO and members of their families;

✔️provide social support on issues of handling the formalities associated with benefits, social welfares, relief payments, declarations to be concluded with a family doctor, other paperwork, including the online submission;

✔️advise on domestic violence cases.

12 mobile teams providing psychosocial help work in the government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts within the framework of the project funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Due to the quarantine, these mobile teams provide psychological, social and legal counseling remotely by telephone and Skype.
