On 17 October, United Nations Population Fund Representative Ms. Nuzhat Esan visited Dnipropetrovsk Regional Perinatal Center, where she held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Department of Health of the Regional State Administration Victoria Mikhailova, Head Physician of the Center Liudmyla Padalko and experts of the Centre.
Dnipropetrovsk Perinatal Center is a leader in Ukraine on implementation of modern perinatal technologies. Supported by the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization, the Center also successfully introduces a methodology "Beyond the Numbers – Near-miss case review methodology ".
During the visit, UNFPA Representative and the experts of the Center discussed a number of issues about the current and future cooperation, including the issue of providing prenatal care for internally displaced women and the need of providing medical institutions with essential medicines and supplies.
