Volunteers from Kremenchuk visited the camp "Zorianiy” to educate children about a healthy lifestyle

July 16, 2015 unusual guests visited the camp “Zorianiy” with gifts and the program  aimed at overcoming negative social behaviors among youth. This program is part of an integrated program " Youth of Kremenchuk" and is beingrealized for many years.

The event was organized by by the Kremenchuk Youth Parliament,Kremenchuk city committee of youth organizations, Department of Family, Children and Youth, Kremenchuk City Center for Social Services for Family, Children and Youth with support of UNFPA office in Ukraine.

During the official part of the visit the volunteers described the variousprojects implemented by the Youth Parliament in the last year and how all young people can join the organization after arrival back home. Deputy Mayor Vitaliy Maletckiy shared his experience of a healthy lifestyle.

During the event the volunteers conducted a contest of children's drawings on the pavement with a topic "I choose healthy lifestyle!", health quest andpreventive relay.

Specialist of aKremenchuk city center of social services for families, children and youth organized an interactive video lecture, which focused on HIV / AIDS.

Each group of children had their own program. Young adults participated in a training during which they identified the priority issues that are of interest fortoday's youth, and the effective solutions were discussed.

Another youth, who is resting in the camp "Star" attended lectures and training sessions on social issues.

The youngest participants played in a tale about bad habits. Also, theytook part in preventative games appropriate for their age.

Overall, all participants were happy and received a bunch of new experiences, knowledge and skills. And, most importantly, all together again stayed convinced that bad habits - is not the norm, and that youth is the driving force of future progress and prosperity of our country.
