Mobile Survivor Relief Centres have been operating in Ukraine since summer 2024

Representatives of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) visited the Survivor Relief Centre in Kyiv to learn more about the support services available for those affected by the war.

For over two years, Survivor Relief Centers have been operating in 12 cities across Ukraine, providing essential psychosocial and legal assistance to those impacted by the war, including survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Since their launch, these centers have supported more than 51,000 people.

Since the summer of 2024, mobile Survivor Relief Centers have also been operating in a field-based format across Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions—areas that were previously under occupation or near active combat zones. These mobile teams provide critical support to those unable to visit stationary centers.

Sweden is a reliable partner of UNFPA, demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine by supporting Survivor Relief Centers, psychosocial support mobile teams for survivors of gender-based violence, and Mobile Gynecological Clinics that provide sexual and reproductive health services.

Thanks to Sweden’s support, UNFPA in Ukraine continues to implement life-saving initiatives, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.
