The "TATOhub" project in Khmelnytskyi and Uzhgorod is implemented by the PO "Fishermen's Club of Ukraine - UA Fishing Club" within the framework of the "Springboard to Equality" project, which UNFPA implements, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, in partnership with the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine with the financial support of Sweden and the assistance of local authorities.
ТАТОhub is an all-Ukrainian network of spaces for men who are already fathers or are planning to become fathers, created to popularize the topics of responsible parenthood and gender equality, as well as developing parental competencies through training and entertainment with children. In this community, psychologists and experts help to understand better the partner relationship with the wife, the role of fathers, child psychology, non-conflict communication and parenting, violence prevention, sex education, and the part of the husband during pregnancy and childbirth.
In Ukraine, the TATOhub network operates successfully in many cities. And now the time has come when such spaces open their activities in Khmelnytskyi and Uzhhorod. Its purpose is to form a culture of parenthood, additional education of fathers in the care and education of children, and the formation of public support for fathers who take leave to care for children.
In its work on responsible fatherhood, UNFPA relies on international experience but adapts it to Ukrainian specificities. In Europe, a similar approach is used, and the involvement of dads in spending meaningful leisure time together, ensuring the child's comprehensive development, and promoting partnership relations in the family. That is why the work of TATOhub is so important - clubs for dads where they can communicate, exchange experiences, receive advice from specialists in various fields, and spend quality time with their children.
