TatoHub.Vinnytsia has become an informal center for integration and adaptation of IDP families in host communities.

It provides individual and group psychological counseling, family, educational and entertainment integration activities.

Dad Oleksandr, who moved with his family from the temporarily occupied territories because of the war in Ukraine, recalls that his wife invited him to the first meeting. He liked it, and after that, he hasn't missed a single event because the topics are extremely relevant and useful.

At TatoHub, an all-Ukrainian community for responsible fatherhood, fathers receive a wealth of useful knowledge and advice from practicing experts, which subsequently has a positive impact on various aspects of family relationships.

First of all, I hid my ego in my relationship with my wife. Our relationship has improved because we have a coalition in the family. I used to be on the side of the children, protecting them. Now I support my wife in any quarrels. And relationships with children mean quality time spent with them every day, - says the father.

Healthy relationships and good communication between partners affect not only the well-being of the couple, but also children, their development and worldview. For a child to have a happy life, it is important to be surrounded by good examples of good relationships and well-established interaction between people. And first of all, parents should be such an example.

Meetings with the psychologist are held once every two weeks, and the father attends them regularly. Thanks to his work with the specialist, Oleksandr managed to improve his relationship with both his wife and children.

Anatolii Brun, a psychologist at TatoHub.Vinnytsia, comments on the man's request: "Oleksandr's issue was that his eldest son often has conflicts with his wife, and he asked how to behave in such situations. I told him that it is very important to have a coalition in the family, where they always support each other and support each other's decisions." Oleksandr used this advice and accordingly began to support his wife in conflict situations with his eldest son. As a result, the man's relationship with both his eldest son and his beloved improved. In addition, his wife's relationship with her child has become warmer and friendlier.

Family entertainment activities have an important purpose: they provide an opportunity for families to spend time together and help IDPs establish contacts with the local population and adapt to the new community. "We made festive Christmas houses. Then we made coconut candies with the children. It was very cool, I really liked it. It was a great time and a lot of emotions," says Oleksandr.

TatoHub is a really useful time and new acquaintances. This was especially lacking for the couple in Vinnytsia, as they had recently moved from the temporarily occupied territories. And first and foremost, it's new knowledge.

"I am grateful for the new connections and communication, for the quality of my time. Because I really relax here. It's three hours of moral peace, for sure. Still, it's a different perspective on your situation," - summarizes the man.

The project TatoHub.Vinnytsia was initiated in the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence" programme, funded by the European Union, implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
