On November 13-14, the final pitching of the innovation projects of Youth Innovations Bank took place in Sviatohirsk.
The teams learned the art of pitching and how to properly prepare for public speaking, passed the final checkpoints with mentors and made their blazing final presentations.
The winners of the Youth Innovations Bank from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions will be selected by the end of this week. And we are pleased to announce that next year, the initiative will be open for participants from the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
The process of selecting the winning teams is ongoing, but we can’t wait to tell you a bit about what the projects are. They include creating an eco-space, making board games from recycled plastic, a career guidance game for schoolchildren, as well as launching a youth “brand lab” and developing a tourist photo route.
We are very happy that young people really want to change the world around them and not just pay lip service. These projects are proof of that!
The selection committee consists of representatives of the organisers and partners:
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA);
Council of Women of the Donetsk Region NGO;
Luhansk Regional Centre for Support of Youth Initiatives and Social Research;
Donetsk Regional Children’s and Youth Centre;
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) (by agreement);
The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality (UN Women) (by agreement); and
An innovation expert is involved.
The UN Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme is implemented by four UN agencies: the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).
