AVON has supported a program for combatting domestic violence implemented by UNFPA Ukraine and supported by the Governments of the United Kingdom, Canada and Estonia.

When a woman comes to a shelter, the last thing she usually thinks about is clothes or accessories. The main thing is to hide from the aggressor and have a roof over her head. Therefore, many women flee to shelters without any belongings whatsoever. When at the shelter, women have an opportunity to resolve their difficult situation with the help of specialists and they do not have to worry about household problems.

We received 77,000 items of goods as charitable assistance from AVON. They are clothes, shoes and accessories worth more than $ 416,000. Those things were handed over to women in shelters, day-care centers and via psychosocial support mobile teams.

Since 2004, the Avon International Foundation has invested more than $ 60 million in projects related to combating violence against women and continues to invest in vital initiatives. Avon's charity program “Say No to Domestic Violence” has existed in Ukraine since 2009.
