calendar_today 11 December 2019

Within the framework of the current project "Response to acute humanitarian issues (sexual and reproductive needs) of the most vulnerable women and adolescent girls in eastern Ukraine", implemented in Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Medical Mission, and the Woman Health and Family Planning Charity Foundation, early in December this year, another batch of humanitarian aid has been delivered to medical institutions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The humanitarian aid contained modern medicines, contraceptives and tools used in everyday gynecological practice. Particularly noteworthy is the standard set of the United Nations Population Fund which is used to perform Caesarean sections in all circumstances. In other words, this set allows 105 Caesarean sections to be performed even in an open field, because it contains everything needed ranging from sterile instruments to medications that a woman needs during a surgery and postoperative period.
