Invitation to the Inter-regional Youth Forum “Youth for Ukraine”
Inter-regional youth forum “Youth unites Ukraine” will be held on 5-7 June 2015 at the recreation camp “Zoriany” (Potoky village, Kremenchuk district, Poltava oblast). The event is expected to assemble 200 youth leaders and young activists from all over Ukraine.
The Forum agenda includes the most sensitive and crucial issues Ukrainian youth faces nowadays, issues that are often difficult for public bodies and educational institutions to deal with and to find realistic, comprehensive solutions to. Youth force consolidation in the framework of the youth forum is probably more necessary now than ever before as no one but the young people are best to tackle these issues or at least initiate first steps to approach them. It is expected that the Forum will produce a concreate and comprehensive road map for young people to act on a local level o. After the event, when the participants will came back to their home towns they will be empowered with new ideas on what to do and where to start.
For 3 days, young leaders will have the opportunity to work in 6 committees in the “open space” format, and to take part in the discussions with international diplomats. A special event, NGOs and initiative groups’ fair will also be organized in the framework of the Forum. The Fair is aimed to create an exchange platform for best initiatives and projects among the event participants. There will also be interesting master classes and outdoor sport activities held during the Forum.
Organizers: Department for family, children and youth of the Kremenchuk city council executive committee, Kremenchuk Youth Parliament, Kremenchuk city committee of youth organizations, Kremenchuk city center of social services for families, children and youth financially supported by UNFPA Ukraine.
Forum committees will be held to discuss the following topics:
- Role of youth in European integration;
- Building civil society under current challenges;
- Health services and healthy lifestyle for young people;
- Moral and psychological development of young people, promotion of patriotism;
- Different aspects of socio-psychological adaptation of internally displaced persons: psychological help, assistance with employment, educational initiatives, adapting to the new community;
- Role of dialogue in Ukrainian society, establishment of sustainable cooperation between local authorities and youth organizations, dialogue between community and authorities at different level.
Youth, students and self-governance organizations activists, NGOs and initiative groups’ leaders, activists from the number of internally displaced persons from Luhansk and Donetsk regions are invited to take part in the event. Young people who are willing to bring changes to Ukraine and are ready to develop a plan of action for this are strongly encouraged to participate.
Participants of the Forum are provided with accommodation and meals, information materials and branded t-shirts. Transportation to and from Kremenchuk city is not covered by the organizers.
If you are willing to participate in the Inter-regional youth forum “Youth for Ukraine” you can:
- Apply to become its participant by filling out the corresponding application form and submitting it by 20 May 2015;
- Apply as an expert/moderator by filling out the moderator’s application form and submitting it by 15 May 2015;
- Apply to participate in the Fair by filling out the “NGOs and initiative groups’ Fair” form. By submitting this form you can get the opportunity to participate in a street fair and present your organization. The information about your organization will be included in the booklet to be published and distributed among the Forum participants. Please submit by 15 May 2015.

The participants applications will go through a selection process and its results will be announced on 24 May 2015.
Every participant will be notified personally on the results and the final list of participants will be publicly accessible on www.molod.org.ua.
