On December 8, the #ActingForSurvivors run took place in Kamianets-Podilskyi as part of the annual international campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence." The event was a demonstration of solidarity and care for those who have experienced or are still experiencing violence.
More than 500 people participated in the run, covering a 2-kilometer distance together to draw attention to the importance of combating violence, especially during wartime.
The #ActingForSurvivors run was first held last year in Irpin, bringing together over 1,500 participants.
This year’s event was initiated by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, supported by UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, and the governments of the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Norway, as part of the National Campaign "Empathy Overcomes Violence. Take a Step." The event was organized by NGO UA Experts in cooperation with the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council.
