Women affected by the war in Ukraine need support and care during this difficult time. UNFPA team procures and, in cooperation with partners, organizes the distribution of dignity kits, which contain carefully selected essential items to ensure hygiene and comfort.

1,520 dignity kits were distributed to elderly women from Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions in May 2023.

"In this war, I lost everything I had. I lost my son... I lost my home and everything that I had collected in it over many years of hard work... But I did not lose faith in the goodness of the human soul. It was hard for me to realize that at the age of 80, I was left under the open sky… alone with my grief. But I'm not alone. There is help.” - said Maria, who currently lives in a modular town in Irpin.

UNFPA continues to provide support to all those in need. We are grateful to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund for its support. We do everything we can to help people preserve their dignity and continue to live a full life even in the conditions of war.
