DNIPRO, OCTOBER 30, 2018 - CSR Development Center and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) launched a program of free workshops "Skills Lab" in Dnipro in two areas: successful career and own business, that is being implemented within the framework of the Ukrainian Pact for Youth-2020 Initiative with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine. The project was supported by the Youth Center "Osvitorium" ("Educatorium"), on the basis of which all meetings with companies and speakers will be held.

Participants of the Skills Lab were congratulated by the organizers and partners as well as by the representatives and signatories of the Ukrainian Pact for Youth-2020. Representative of the UN Population Fund, Nataliya Martynenko, who is in charge of the youth program, said, "UNFPA is the leading UN agency in Ukraine and in the world, which prioritizes the improvement of the life of youth in more than 150 countries of the world. "Skills Lab: A Successful Career and Own Business" aims to help young people gain up-to-date knowledge and practical skills that will help them become successful in their professional life or start their own business".

According to EY's "Best Employer" survey in 2017, 35% of university graduates believe they have insufficient knowledge and skills to work. Anna Aranzhiy, Career Hub manager of the CSR Development Center, mentioned this fact and added: "We work with businesses, government and young people to jointly solve the problems of youth employment, career development and competitiveness. Therefore, we have developed the Skills Lab - an initiative to foster up-to-date skills for successful employment of young people and entrepreneurship development, which is primarily aimed at students of vocational schools and universities in the region".

Anna Aranzhiy also highlighted the results of the Pact for Youth-2020 initiative in two years: "Today, the 108 companies have already signed the Pact, and within the framework of the initiative 11 WOW forums, 20 meetings with employers were held, and a number of practical publications for young people were prepared, which are available  at www.careerhub.in.ua".
