Annual review meeting on the implementation of the “Beyond the Numbers – Near-miss case review methodology” in Ukraine took place in Kyiv on October 21.
The project on the implementation of the “Beyond the Numbers – Near-miss case review methodology”, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the United Nations Population Fund, the World Health Organization and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, involves a number of Ukrainian perinatal centers.
The experts from the perinatal centers of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytsk, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Lviv regions, as well as the experts that worked on the implementation of this methodology in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, participated in the event.
During the review meeting, the overview of the NMCR initiative in Ukraine and experience of European region in BTN and NMCR implementation were presented. The international experts talked on the key challenges and achievements of NMCR implementation in Ukraine. The participants also had a chance to learn about the experience of those Ukrainian medical institutions where NMCR methodology has been implemented.
After the conclusions on the annual achievements were made, the participants of the meeting worked on development of the Action plan for further work.
