The Psychosocial support mobile team in Dnipro has been operating since April 2022 and provides assistance to survivors of gender-based and domestic violence, including through emergency intervention.

Specialists provide psychological support, inform survivors about medical, legal and other services available to overcome the consequences of violence, and, if necessary, refer them to other social services where they can be safe.

"If you want to escape from this life situation, from this hell you are in, be sure to contact the mobile team," says a resident of Dnipro who had been suffering from domestic violence from her husband for a long time.

According to Roman Horbunov, a social worker with the team, people who suffer from domestic violence are often left to deal with the problem alone. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide them with timely assistance.

"I think helping people means giving them the opportunity and showing them that they have the opportunity to start over and change their lives for the better. We have a very powerful team here, with whom we share the same values. It is also very motivating, when the women we help see their lives improve," says Tetiana Kurnosenko, psychologist of the mobile team.
