Background Information:
In accordance with the organizational mandate and national development priorities of Ukraine, UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, implements a country programme of technical assistance to Ukraine for 2018-2022. With its 3rd Country Programme UNFPA Ukraine makes a strong focus on investing in the abilities of young people, especially young women and girls, to make responsible choices about their lives and contributing to the legal and social adoption of more equitable gender norms, including the right to live free from stereotypes, coercion and violence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the UNFPA Administration and Finance Associate the incumbent should perform the following functions:
- Performs office cleaning functions including washing, sweeping, dusting, vacuum-cleaning and polishing of the project premises.
- Cleans surfaces, including floors, furniture, wall, doors, windows, carpets, etc.
- Empties and cleans waste-paper baskets;
- Keeps premises, corridors, office rooms, kitchen, office premises facilities and toilets clean hygienic;
- Maintains and cleans all cleaning equipment utilized;
- Performs office premises for the changes of year seasons;
- Maintains stock of office cleaning supplies, timely replenishes them to ensure full-time availability;
- Helps in the safe keeping of office equipment and files
- Performs the simple clerical activities, such as copying, filing, and etc.
- Carries other duties as required by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to operate office cleaning equipment;
- Accuracy, punctuality;
- Relative working experience of minimum 2 year;
- Essential communication skills in the local language;
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with UN agencies would be an asset.
