Training on Social Media for Youth "New Media: New Opportunities for youth communities"

 

United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) invites active youth to participate in the training "New Media: New Opportunities for strengthening youth communities."

Participants of the training will learn about the effective use of the Internet, social media for positioning their organizations in the online space, opportunities to create social media content using new media, promotion of work implemented by their youth communities, and about attracting new audiences to their work and finding other resources.

We invite for participation representatives of youth NGOs and initiative groups that are already implementing various activities in their communities/schools or have concrete plans to implement projects in the nearest future.

Basic requirements for participants:

·       the activity of organizations or initiative groups in the public sector;

·       examples of implemented projects or plans for future initiatives;

·       interest in developing organization in partnership with other members of the sector;

·       presence in social media, at least one page in social networks - Facebook, Twitter, VKontakte, or blogging experience (willingness to start a blog) about youth related issues.

Training will be held in Kyiv on 1-2 July, 2015. Participation in the workshop is free, the organizers will provide participants with accommodation, meals, handout materials during the training. Travel expenses will be covered by tickets (train (not above class coupe), bus).

The participants will be selected on a competitive basis. To participate in the training, please fill out registration form and send it by 24 June 2015.

Announcement of results of the selection will be held on June 26, 2015. All candidates will be notified of selection results by e-mail.
